9 vegetarian foods rich in vitamin K1 | Vitamins

Vitamin K1 notably helps wounds to heal.

Dietary recommendations in the UK are 75µg of vitamin K1 per day for men and 65µg for women aged between 19 and 64 years old.

Here are 9 vegetarian foods rich in vitamin K1:

– Green vegetables are particularly rich in vitamin K1. Kale and spinach contain 400–600µg of our daily needs per 100g and broccoli, lettuce and Brussels sprouts around 130µg.

– Vegetable oils such as rapeseed and olive oil provide 60–110µg of vitamin K1 per 100ml.

– Boiled peas contain around 40µg per 100g.

– Boiled cauliflower provides around 30µg of vitamin K1 per 100g.

– 100g of boiled runner beans provides 26µg of vitamin K1.

– 100g of cucumber provides around 21µg.

– Boiled leeks as well as carrots provides around 10µg of vitamin K1 per 100g.

– Lastly, plums contain 8µg of vitamin K1 per 100g.
