Today in the world of cannabis: Harvest Health announces an executive retirement, a medical cannabis association officially forms in the state of Mississippi, and the Martha Stewart CBD line hits retailers just in time for the holiday season.

** First up: Investing News reports that the cannabis company Harvest Health & Recreation has announced the retirement of Chief Operating Officer Ronald Goodson, effective at the end of December. Goodson assumed the COO role in December of 2019.
“We thank Ron for his service over the past year and wish him all the best in his retirement,” said Chief Executive Officer Steve White.
As of now, Harvest does not have any immediate plans to fill the COO position.
** And next: Newsfile reports that the Mississippi Cannabis Trade Association (MSCTA) has officially formed, marking the first organization of its kind in the state. The organization was formed in anticipation of the start of medical cannabis sales in Mississippi in August of 2021.
“Over 73% of voters in the state decided that a Medical Marijuana program would be beneficial. We are happy that the state will adhere to the will of the people, and implement a program that will help revolutionize the health of our citizens and economy here,” said Nate McHardy, President of the Mississippi Cannabis Trade Association.
“We are excited to work with the MSCTA because of their commitment to advocacy and education on the new cannabis industry in Mississippi,” said Clint Patterson, Chief Executive Officer of Mockingbird Cannabis.
