The threats of climate change and COVID-19 are converging, according to a new report by the Lancet Countdown.
The report found climate change will increasingly impact the health of humans around the world and threaten to overwhelm healthcare systems unless action is taken to mitigate global warming, even as countries continue to struggle to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
