Friday Five! Vitamin D foods and my favorite supplement

How’s your Vitamin D intake? Almost all of our cells have a Vitamin D receptor. That alone can tell us how important this vitamin is. It helps absorb calcium, helps with bone fractures and it’ plays a huge role in our immune system.

Here are some foods which are rich in Vitamin D:
fatty fish
fish roe
oil
egg yolk
beef liver
raw cheeses
mushrooms

However, Easiest and cheapest way to get your dose of Vitamin D is through going out under the heat of the sun! When was the last time you felt the heat of the sun? Go out under the sun 15 to 20 minutes, two to three times a week between 10AM and 3PM!
