DERMAL TALKS: Nutrition for your skin (HEALTHY RECIPE INCLUDED)

Our gut plays a role in our overall health. It is linked with our nutrient absorption, hormone balances, vitamin production, immune system, mood and our main focus today – skin health.

Recipe for the Oat Slice:
Ingredients:
1 large ripe banana
1/4 cup rice malt syrup
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pitted medjool dates
130g rolled oats
50g walnuts, chopped
30g linseeds
50g almonds, chopped
4 tbs chia seeds
2 tbs sultanas

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180c. Grease and line a 20cm x 30cm baking tray with baking paper
2. Place the banana, syrup, cinnamon and dates in a food processor and blend until smooth
3. Add the remaining ingredients until combined
4. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking tray and press down firmly
5. Bake for 25-30 mins or until golden
6. Remove from oven and cut into 12 bars while still warm. ENJOY!
