Broccoli Benefits – 15 Benefits of Eating Broccoli everyday

Your parents were not wrong for telling you to eat your broccoli every day. Even though you hated them, you had to eat them without even knowing how beneficial they are. They probably told you it was highly nutritious, but that’s probably all you know about them.

Broccoli is one of those “superfoods” packed with nutrients and compounds like antioxidants, fiber, minerals, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is low in calories but it is rich in vitamins C, D, A, E, K, B9, B12, beta-carotene, flavonoids such as Kaempferol, potassium, zinc, copper, selenium, and phosphorous. It belongs to a group called cruciferous vegetables along with cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.
There are three varieties of broccoli that can be consumed. They are sprouting broccoli, calabrese broccoli, and purple cauliflower.
You can eat your broccoli in any form, raw or cooked. You can steam, saute, or make it into a soup. Although cooking it may compromise some of the nutrient’s composition like vitamin C and protein, it doesn’t completely reduce them and is still very healthy.

In this video, you’ll learn the benefits of eating broccoli every day. Enjoy watching.
