I got these to give to my dogs (pugs) for various issues, mostly related to immunity. One of my dogs has a low grade staph infection that the vet has never been able to figure out.
He is healthy otherwise, it is just that there is something–some allergy or whatnot–that is slightly depressing his immunity and letting the staph simmer.
I did some research and decided to try this for both of them. They love it. We open the capsules and sprinkle it on their raw food. (Raw meat diet for both of them.)
It seems to help–both dogs have good energy, coat and eyes. My younger dog has fewer hot spots and ear issues since theyve had a steady diet of colostrum.
I know I can find pet grade supplements of this, but I wanted something that was sourced from US cows–most colostrum is from New Zealand cows, and Mad Cow Disease has been seen in some New Zealand cows–dogs are susceptible to that disease.
Plus, I wouldnt want to give them any supplements I wouldnt take myself. I like these so much that I am trying some other Pure Encapsulations formulas soon–on myself.
