Dr McCullough COVID-19 Update Illness Day 7 Treatment Day 5

Colleagues:

This is an update after 7 days of COVID-19 illness and five days of treatment at home. I outline the steps of contract tracing, reducing household re-inoculation, and the important therapeutic interventions including vitamins/supplements, off-target antivirals, corticosteroids, and antiplatelet/antithrombic drugs. I also highlight the importance of becoming enrolled as a patient in randomized trials and show you how I did it over the phone and had a research drug delivered to my house within hours. Fortunately, despite being over 50 years old and with medical problems, I feel I am improving and will avoid the two feared outcomes of COVID-19–hospitalization and death. I hope the material presented can be helpful to you and your doctor as you face COVID-19 at home. The opinions I have expressed are my own and not necessarily those of my institutions.
