#AskDrBob: Hyperthyroid, Bile, Vitamin Fillers

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Q: I suffer from hyperthyroidism. My doctor has put me on methimazole 1 tablet daily for 2nd month now. I am 57 – I suffer from multiple chemical sensitivities- what can heal my thyroid naturally? My blood test results came out border line.

A: We do have a protocol for hyperthyroid; I would need to see your results and look at your lifestyle habits prior to creating a plan. You may have a food sensitivity or a hormone imbalance.

Q: Bovine bile – How do we know if we need it?

A: Generally, and I speak about this in “Dr. Bob’s Guide to Prevent Surgery” in the “Gallbladder” Chapter, I discuss in detail bovine bile use.

Gallbladder Chapter:

Q: If I eat shredded vegetables like carrots, broccoli, beets – some can end up unchanged in my stool. Beans and corn can end up down there unchanged too. My transit time is good, so what is going on here?

A: You may consider a digestive enzyme. We use Hydro-Zyme – one mid-meal.

Hydro-Zyme:

Q: When I take Berberine, my stool often looks fuzzy. Texture is not smooth. What is going on here?

A: I am not sure, I would need to know more about you.

Wellness Consultation:

Q: What is your opinion on the various extra ingredients found in most supplements, like microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, etc.?

A: They can create an imbalance. I would focus on products with the least amount of ingredients if possible.

Part One: I know you have mentioned we should be having at least 2 bowel movements a day, but what amount is considered too much or too frequently?

Two daily is a good frequency.

Part Two: And does color matter? Color does tell you what may be going on in the colon.

Brown is best. Blood in the stool suggests colon inflammation. Tarry stools could be a sign of an ulcer.
