17 million mink could be culled after mutated coronavirus found in Denmark

Virologist Simon Clarke says it is normal that coronavirus has been mutating but it somehow “seems to have got a from a human into a mink, and then back out again.”

He says the Danish government are concerned about how this new strain might have the ability to suppress the body’s ability to produce antibodies, “which would mean that our immune systems are fighting with one arm tied behind their back.”
