Vitamin D – No Need to Be Vitamin D Deficient!

Besides prevention through the 4 Ws, there is one more thing that everyone can do to help keep your immune system healthy. Please make sure that you are not Vitamin D deficient.
If you have black or brown skin due to melanin pigment, melanin acts as a natural protectant from sun exposure, which means you are not making enough Vitamin D naturally.
This leads to widespread vitamin D deficiency in black and brown people, which can weaken your immune system. Which we don’t need in this time of a pandemic. Talk to your doctor about your Vitamin D supplementation. If you don’t have a relationship with a doctor, consider taking an over-the counter multivitamin and mineral supplement.
