Nutrition (Humans) | IGCSE Biology (9-1)

This video covers the topic of movement of substances into and out of cells, we will be going through the following learning objectives:

-Be able to identify the sources and describe the functions of carbohydrate, protein, lipid (fats and oils), vitamins A, C and D, the mineral ions calcium and iron, water and dietary fibre as components of the diet.
-Be able to describe the structure and function of the human alimentary canal.
-Be able to understand the role of digestive enzymes.

WHO AM I:
Hi! I’m Salim after graduating from the University College London (UCL) in Biomedical Sciences, I went onto pursue a career in teaching. I have been in education for 10 years and currently, work as the Head of Science at a secondary school.
