ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Natural vs Synthetic Vitamins and Minerals in Dog Food
Processed dog food has to have vitamins and minerals added to it to fortify it because the high heating and processing has robbed the food of its existing supply.

Are Synthetic Vitamins Bad for Dogs?

The added vitamins and minerals are of synthetic form created in a lab and added to pet food to make it meet minimum standards of nutrition as set out by the American Association of Feed Control Operators (AAFCO).

So your dogs kibble meets minimum nutritional standards but at what cost when the added vitamins and minerals are of synthetic form?

The problem with synthetic vitamins and minerals for dogs is that your dogs body has great trouble recognizing them as food. Most are expelled from the body unrecognized and so your dog does not get the vital vitamin and minerals they need for long term health.

Naturally derived vitamins and minerals benefit your dog by providing oxygen to the muscles, act as antioxidants, boost immunity to disease, promote bone growth and hormone production among many other activities.

And the deficiency of vitamins and minerals in dogs can cause bone and joint disease, poor coat condition, reproductive problems, low immunity to disease, stress, anemia, muscle cramping and low wound healing.

It’s important to remember that every synthetic vitamin and mineral carries inherent risks and shortcomings. If your dog eats a kibble only diet and suffers chronic ill health problems that include such issues as, bad breath, allergies, blocked anal glands, diarrhea, yeast infections, ear infections, skin and coat problems, hot spots, arthritis and poor digestion or sensitive tummies, synthetic vitamins and minerals are a big part of the problems.

That’s why I created the Healthier Kibble Diet to help kibble feeding dog owners reclaim their dogs health from those day to day health issues that plague so many dogs.

The key to fixing your dogs daily health complaints, supplying their body with adequate natural vitamins and minerals and keeping them strong is with a boosted, healthier kibble diet to ensure your dog is getting more of the vital nutrients missing from a regular kibble only diet.
