Vitamin C is essential for the human body. It is responsible for growth, development, repair of your body tissues and also has a role in body’s immunity.

Vitamin C is important as an antioxidant. It destroys certain harmful substances in the human body. Vitamin C is a life-preservative vitamin. You have to take it on a regular basis, otherwise you develop serious sickness.

Low levels of Vitamin C, or deficiency of Vitamin C, causes a disease called Scurvy. Vitamin C is water-soluble vitamin. We require about 50 to 90 milligrams per day. A single orange can provide our daily requirement of Vitamin C.

Foods rich in vitamin C
All citrus fruits lemon, amla, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, green, yellow & red bell pepper, spinach. As you can see Vitamin C is readily available in our natural food and there is rarely any reason for us to supplement it.

If you’re in doubt, you can always go for a Vitamin C assay to tell you whether you’re deficient. In which case, you may need to take a supplement. Otherwise, it is not necessary to supplement with vitamin C. There is no extra benefit to your body.

Tablet Celin.
Celin is a tablet containing 500mg of Vitamin C. You must remember, taking Celin is for those who have a Vitamin C deficiency. It is a supplement for those who are deficient in Vitamin C. It is not something to be taken to boost your immunity because it’s not going to work that way. It is a water soluble vitamin, if you take in excess, it will get washed off.

Vitamin C overdose, though not very serious, does have problems. You will develop loose motion, diarrhea, stomach upset, acidity, and nausea. These are problems with excess dosage or overdosage of Vitamin C.
