Broccoli is not only known as one of the healthiest vegetables, but one of the healthiest food choices overall, and for good reason. It is incredibly nutrient dense, contains unique and powerful medicinal compounds and is an immune system boosting powerhouse. Now, lets discuss some of the incredible health benefits of broccoli.

1. First, broccoli is very nutrient dense and contains various vitamins and minerals in high concentrations. Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, manganese, potassium and vitamin A among many others. It is also a good source of dietary fibre, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds and even protein.

2. Consuming broccoli regularly can also supply our body with many different antioxidant compounds. Similar to its high levels of nutrition, these antioxidants can specifically reduce free radicals and oxidative stress that can compromise our immune system and lead to certain chronic diseases.
