Muslim women "Covered Up" are at risk for Coronavirus due to Vitamin D Deficiency #Coronavirus

The NHS UK guide lines stipulate that the following groups of people are likely to suffer from Vitamin D deficiency:
Anyone over 65 years
Black and Brown people
Invalids (sick person who is housebound)
Women who cover up for religious reasons
Breast feed mothers and
breast fed babies.
I remember going to this quark of a doctor who was claiming to treat eczema and the reception was choc-a-block with Somali women. From speaking to Somali women at my daughter’s tuition place, I began to realise that eczema is a real issue for some Somali people. I also came across a podcast from Kings college hospital where a doctor presented a case study of a Somali mother whose children presented with eczema. He seemed very pertubed. *eye roll* A mother who is Vitamin D deficient is likely to give birth to children with Vitamin D deficiency. Now in Africa the situation would most likely correct itself after a while. In Europe? Only in summer. The lack of sunlight in Europe and parts of North America is really detrimental to black people!

Vitamin D is very important for the immune system. We have almost 4,000 Vitamin D receptors attached to the cells in our bodies! The Vitamin D making process begins on the skin. When we get to age 60 we our bodies lose the ability to maek Vitamin D by 70%. It’s not a wonder the elderly are the ones struggling the most!
