Our Immune Boost B injection is a combo of our activated vitamin B12, best known as methylcobalamin, and an immune boosting homeopathic formula called Engystol. Engystol is a homeopathic injectable supplement used for immune support. It has been shown to reduce severity and duration of symptoms in viral infections, particularly in the early stages of colds and influenza-like illnesses. Methyl B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that is crucial for a variety of pathways in our body including detox, energy, mood, memory and brain health, and of course immune and stress balance. Together, this shot is great for boosting your immune system and improving your stress and energy; perfect for traveling or just prepping for the upcoming season.
The most common way to get B12 through your diet is from meat, fish and dairy products. However there are many reasons why someone may not be able to get enough B vitamins through their diet. For example, people who have inflammatory digestive disorders like IBS, celiac or ulcerative colitis, or patients going through certain chemotherapies have a difficult time absorbing nutrients from their food. People following a plant-based vegan diet, or heavy drinkers or smokers, or people eating a SAD, no-nutrition diet also have poor vitamin intake. If you’re super stressed out, you burn through your B vitamin stores very quickly. Also, certain medications for diabetes like metformin, PPI’s for heartburn, blood pressure medications, and statin drugs reduce absorption. I think I just described 95% of our country right now, lol. So in short, yes, supplementation is needed.
Even for the 5% who are not overtly deficient, there are still benefits to getting B-vitamin supplementation that we talked about earlier such as improving stress, mood, brain fog and energy.
Is this a safe shot to get? Yes, it is very safe. Vitamins can either be water-soluble or fat-soluble. Water-soluble vitamins are very safe, and do not get stored in the body the way fat-soluble vitamins do. So with fat-soluble vitamins, you can overdose or get side effects from taking too much, However with B-vitamins, you pee out anything extra. Engystol has not been shown to have any contraindications or negative effects due to its homeopathic dilutions.
