COVID-19 Liability Waivers for Small Businesses and Nonprofits

As small businesses and community nonprofits reopen and scale up operations following initial COVID-19 lockdowns, owners and nonprofit leaders are concerned about both creating a safe environment and avoiding liability in the unfortunate event that cases of COVID-19 are traced back to their organization.

On top of mandatory and voluntary safety measures, businesses ranging from beauty salons and dentists to home inspectors and small retailers are taking an additional step to protect themselves—asking people who come into physical contact with the organization’s space or staff to sign liability waivers.

Join the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center and Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Andrea Calem and Kevin White to learn more about COVID-19 liability waivers, including what protection they may offer, their limitations, and whether they may be appropriate for your organization.

This webinar is appropriate for both small businesses and nonprofits.
