At present, the world community is going through an unprecedented pandemic of COVID-19. It has spread globally very fast and affected almost all countries severely. To date, there is no medicine that has any evidence-based treatment for COVID-19 and therefore the Ayurveda system of medicine or Ayurveda-based lifestyle may be considered as one of the strategies to improve the immune system of the body and minimize its effect.
In this context, a special talk on “Scope and Utility of Ayurved during COVID19 Pandemic” was organized on 10 June 2020 by the office of the Dean (Students Welfare) Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj for the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the Institute. The talk was delivered in online mode using Microsoft Teams by Prof (Dr.) G.S.Tomar, President Viswa Ayurveda Mission and Member TWG Ayush-NTEP Collaboration, Ministry of Health and FW, Govt. of India.
