Ivermectin For Post-Exposure Prophylaxis In COVID-19: Study On Close Family Contacts That Are PCR+.

WhiteBoard style discussion on a randomized control trial that we previous covered the preliminary data for looking at the use of ivermectin for post-exposure prophylaxis in those with a close family contact that was PCR+ for SARS-CoV-2. They gave two doses of ivermectin to individuals exposed through a close family member and followed them for 14 days. They found a statistically significant decrease in those who developed symptoms consistent with COVID-19 after taking ivermectin compared to those who did not take ivermectin.
