COVID-19

"Life Skills for Managing Stress and Cultivating Resilience through COVID19"

Presented by the Rev. Dr. Joanne Weiss, MSW (LCSW), M.DIV., M.A., D.ARTS.

The Pandemic impacts all aspects of our lives, with the prospect of it continuing for some unknown period of time. As a result, we need to actively take measures to stay as healthy as possible, at all levels of our being: body, mind, and spirit. Anxiety hijacks us many times throughout the day and these high levels of anxiety deplete our immune systems. This presentation will walk us through some of the most effective, short, in-the-moment tools and practices to keep resetting the Central Nervous System throughout the day. The Rev Dr. Joanne Weiss is a clinical social worker in private practice in Clarks Summit, PA, an ordained minister, retreat facilitator, and a musician. She holds graduate degrees in theology, music, and clinical social work. This presentation was recorded live at Covenant Presbyterian Church on September 24, 2020.
