Let's Talk Food | Concrete Tips for Boosting Your Immune System

Dr. Akua Woolbright is Nutrition Program Director at Whole Cities Foundation, an organization on a mission to improve individual and community health through collaborative partnerships, education, and broader access to nutritious food. Through Whole Cities Foundation’s Let’s Talk Food nutrition program, Dr. Woolbright offers free cooking and wellness classes in several locations across the U.S. She strives to empower individuals and communities to live healthier lives by providing authoritative nutritional information, passionate inspiration, and genuine support.

Through a series of 4 online classes for Whole Foods Market Team Members, Dr. Akua will focus on nutrition and lifestyle education with an emphasis on food as medicine. With an “Ask the Nutritionist”- approach, Dr. Akua will respond to topics and questions submitted in advance to tailor content to each TM audience. Throughout the series, Dr. Akua will maintain her signature teaching style in flexing the content towards the needs of the class with a fluid approach.

As we approach the cold and flu season and continue our fight against the Coronavirus, we can do our part to boost immunity and slow down the spread of germs. In the event we do contract a virus or develop a condition or illness, our goal is then to beat it and rebound quickly.
