Historically, we know that times of crisis are often followed by outbreaks of disease. From societal disruption to epidemics, we see surges of measles, Hepatitis A, meningococcal disease, and other outbreaks that could be prevented if social situations hadn’t gotten in the way.
We also know that COVID19 is presenting special problems: making parents afraid to bring children in for well-child checks or giving life to new medical hesitancy.
