NUTRITIONAL SNOW FUNGUS CHINESE DESSERT (Tong Shui)

This Chinese dessert is an Asian treat that is both nourishing and anti aging.

Ingredients (4-6 serving)
3 dried snow fungus
8-10 red dates
1 cup of dried Logans
1/2 cup of rock sugar
Quails eggs
2 pandan leaves ( optional )

Snow fungus
● Full of plant collagen which can help our skin to stay hydrated and maintain a youthful appearance.
● One of the richest sources of natural vitamin D (helps with absorption of calcium)
● Has a water holding capacity greater than hyaluronic acid (used in a lot of hydrating beauty products to give skin a plumper appearance)
● High in antioxidants and anti–inflammatory properties
● Rich in polysaccharides, compounds which have potent immune boosting qualities

Red dates
●  Contain vitamin B which you need for a healthy set of hair.
● Packed with vitamin C, dates help in maintaining and improving skin’s elasticity.
● Contain high levels of unsaturated fatty acids, which control inflammation linked to obesity and weight-related diseases
● Good source of iron and calcium
● Good digestive tract balancer as they contains soluble fibres 

Logan
● Good source of vitamin C in longan improves defense mechanism.
● High iron content, which is said to be 20 times higher than grapes and 15 times higher than spinach.
● The nutrients in longan may have properties that can help slow down the signs of aging and enhance overall skin health.

Quails eggs
● Rich source of protein that help in preventing nails from getting brittle
● Contain zinc, iron, selenium, amino acids, and vitamins A, B, C, and E which are beneficial for healthy hair.
● Rich in nutrients and full of health-promoting antioxidants that may help in protecting the skin from sun damage and fight the signs of aging
● Contain around 60 % of essential fats, i.e., high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol
