About the speaker:
Dr. Dzintars obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She completed her pharmacy practice residency at the University Health System and a specialty residency in Infectious Diseases at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, both in conjunction with The University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX. She is currently a clinical pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Dzintars is Chair of the Infectious Diseases Specialty Council for the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties and is the past Chair of the Antibiotic Subcommittee for the Maryland Society of Health-system Pharmacists. Her current professional interests include antimicrobial stewardship, antifungal therapy, and Gram-negative resistance.
