Love it for both great protein and great carbs.
Here is a suggestion for an almost complete mean replacement:- 2% Milk (or your choice of liquid, such as almond milk, whole milk, or soy milk);- Oats & Whey vanilla bean for doses of protein and good carbs;- banana for a dose of fruit and taste;- vitamin powder for added nutrients;- peanut butter (or almonds/almond butter depending on whether your blender can handle almonds) for richness;- kale for a dose of veggies; and- frozen berries for antioxidants, more fruit variety, and to cool it down while not watering it down with ice.Change up the berries for different flavors, such as blueberries, different kinds of mixed berries, cherries, etc.
Also, I find the peanut butter helps keep you satisfied for a longer period of time, otherwise you may find yourself hungrier sooner. Try your own combinations and remove or add in ingredients based on the taste and nutritional results you desire.
Then post your favorite mixes here for everyone to enjoy. 🙂
Do yourself a favor and get a food scale. Without one, theres no way to know if youre getting what you paid for. Take a look at both photos.
I weighed a scoop of this protein powder to make sure the label was accurate and the most I could get with a level scoop was 42 grams (first photo). Thats 12 grams less than what the label reads.
That means youre only getting around 19 grams of protein, instead of the 24 grams thats on the label. In order to get the full serving size of 54 grams, youre gonna have to use a heaping scoop as you can see in the second picture.
