This bottle is a pretty good value. I ordered this particular dosage because my doctor specifically told me to take 5000IU so I am glad I found it as one pill instead of taking 5x 1000IU pills!
For some reason this higher dosage is a little tougher to find in just one single pill.
I didnt want to have trouble swallowing a whole lot of pills to make up the dosage or taking a huge pill that will make me choke, but these are very small and smooth so easy to swallow in the morning after breakfast.
They are small translucent softgels and a little smaller than my fingernail (see pictures).My doctor told me to take extra Vitamin D because I had lower levels and with working indoors I dont get enough from the sun normally.
My doctor also said taking Vitamin D could brighten my mood (because apparently if you are deficient that can negatively impact your mood – oh joy! I guess sunshine does make you happy!
lol). But either way I tend to feel a lot better over time after taking these pills for a few weeks. I take one pill (5000IU) 3x per week. And that higher dosage in this form still seems to be pretty easy on my stomach so no complaints.
I will order more when I run out.
I work the midnight shift and I’m living a vampire lifestlye. The only sunlight I get is on my days off or driving home in the morning. This vitamin has definitely offset my deficiency. I noticed more of an energy.
Nature made is a name I trust. These work well for my needs. Quality product. Easy to swallow. Small gel capsules.
This is a great Vitamin D supplement; I’m not taking stars off for that. However, I only received half of the order I paid for.
May be stronger than what I needed but maybe I will take it every other day. 5000iu. My doctor recommended 2000iu but I figured why not get the more potent one.
Then I saw many of the other supplements I take have about 1000iu already. Summer heat makes them stick during delivery.
Very small, easy to swallow gel pills. I was previously using a much lower dosage and would have to take a few gels at a time. These are 5k IU gels, so you only need to take 1.
Vitamin D3 is good for so many things (like helping your body absorb other vitamins) but I take these for my skin. Also known as the sunshine vitamin, these are great to take in the winter as theyve been proven to help with SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
I definitely recommend vitamin D3. My 5-star rating is for the product, not the price, as I feel $29.99 is a bit expensive considering other brands offer the same same amount for less.
