Supplements; you either hate them or love them.
I’m the latter as I believe that they have a place in someone’s nutrition; but only if they know WHY they’re taking it.
Too often I see people look to supplements like protein, pre-workouts, BCAAs, and the worst of all, fat burners, to be their saving grace to their dream body and healthier lifestyle.
Supplements are just that, SUPPLEMENTS to fill in the gaps. When used with the right mindset and quality nutrition, we can begin to pick/choose products to optimize our results in fitness.
I personally used 4 main supplements:
1. Whey/Casein/Plant Protein (it really depends on what’s on sale if we’re being honest.)
2. Creatine (for performance)
3. Multi-Vitamin // Powdered Greens (for my micros)
4. Pre-Workout (for extra energy // performance // focus // fun)
This isn’t a concrete list; just my top 4. I may have BCAA/EAA’s if I’m in a calorie deficit (like the time filming this video), I have a Fish Oil if I don’t happen to have salmon for the week, etc. Have a healthy relationship with your nutrition and see what supplements fall into place.
