What makes an Inmunity Booster Juice?
A juice that is high in antioxidants will help boost your immunity by reducing your oxidative stress. There are basically two categories of antioxidants – polyphenols and vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The ingredients I include in my Immunity Booster Juices are high in these two categories of antioxidants:

Ingredients
½ pumpkin, with skin
Skin of 1 slice pineapple
2 Fuji apples
2 tomatoes
Turmeric
Ginger
1 Limau Kapas
Pepper, to taste

Makes 800 ml

Notes
Wash your pumpkin and soak in a sodium bicarbonate solution for at least 12 minutes, same with the rest of the fruits actually. I used the pineapple for a fruit salad; instead of throwing away the skin, I juice it. Of all the apple varieties, Granny Smiths have the highest polyphenol content. Other varieties also contain polyphenols, but to a lesser extent. Ginger and turmeric both contain about a thousand polyphenols, not just curcumin. Adding pepper, which contains piperine, makes the curcumin more bioavailable, by between 20 to 60 times! White pepper contains slightly more piperine than black pepper. All citrus fruits contain vitamin C; I like limau kapas for its lovely aromatic fragrance.
