Keynote Speaker Presentation at the 2020 MedInvest Virtual Infectious Diseases and Immunology Conference June 15, 2020 titled “Cancer and COVID-19 Pneumonia and Pneumonitis: June 2020”. The presentation was given by Dr. Brian Leyland-Jones, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at SciTech Development, LLC and provides an overview of COVID-19 biomarkers, treatments, and paths forward. The presentation also provides an introduction and prologue to the next presentation given by Earle Holsapple (SciTech President) which provides support for SciTech’s lead (oncology) drug ST-001 nanoFenretinide for treating patients infected with COVID-19 ( Fenretinide has demonstrated modes of action that may help suppress inflammation and the progression to cytokine storms that damage vital organs. SciTech is seeking investor funding to enter a COVID-19 Phase 1 clinical trial that leverages the company’s existing FDA approved IND for an oncology indication.
