Dr Tobias – Vitamin C 1,000 mg – No Artificial Color or Flavors – Immune Support
Dr Tobias 1,000 mg Vitamin C is a sizable tablet as you can see from the photo with a quarter and penny next to it. They are not the easiest to swallow, but they are of good quality.
I dont necessarily take Vitamin C as a supplement every day apart from a multiple vitamin but when I feel like I am getting a cold or getting sick I will take several thousand mgs with plenty of water.
If I get particularly congested in my sinuses, I will do the same thing because it opens my head. Because this product does…

If I get particularly congested in my sinuses, I will do the same thing because it opens my head. Because this product does a good job of opening my head, I know the Vitamin C is a quality product.
What I particularly like is that when I take this product in that manner, it doesnt mess up my stomach from the acid. This is the first buffered Vitamin C I have taken and I really like it apart from the tablet size.
If youre already taking a relatively large dose of calcium be aware that one serving, one tablet, contains 115mg of calcium.
If youre just taking a basic multivitamin, and adding more vitamin C to your regimen, this will give you a slight boost of calcium as a bonus (slightly less than 10% of RDA).
Also, addition of Rose Hips is nice touch. In accord with most vitamins sold lately, these are Non-GMO…but, still a plus. The tablet size is akin to my other Vitamin C tablet, kinda large.
That was no surprise.Overall, these are exactly as expected. A bit on the pricey side, but matches the description in the product details. I would suggest a moderately high level recommendation.
Right now we are doing everything we can to be healthy. Boosting your immune system with Vitamin C is the natural course of action. These pills are easy to swallow – but know that they are swallow type pills – NOT chewable.
So, as long as you follow the directions of your doctor, enjoy and stay healthy. This dosage should help boost your health in great ways!
One of the less common versions..Its buffered with calcium so its easier on bellies…Now i takec5-8000 a day.. i would only use these for up to 3000 bc of the calcium..Now calcium, like C just gives u the runs if u get too much, so no biggie just inconvenient..but i like to not use quite as much calcium and lean more on magnesium glycinate( calc n mag have to be balanced) bc we get a lot more calcium in food, but Ill certainlyUse a few of these.. and follow with the more common ascorbic acid the rest of the day or for loading ( taking large amts to bowel tolerance for saturating w C as maintenance or bc of being around sick folks)Good productUsa gmp non gmoFair price, bottle filled pretty fullcheck with pharmacist for timingBc calcium is a binder and may have to be taken at an oposite time of rx!If this helped, lemme know
I started taking vitamin C when Linus Pauling, a two-time Nobel Prize winner, advocated vitamin C as a means of reducing the incidence of colds. I have found that I get few colds compared to other people.
However that is not a very large or scientific sample. The Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University now takes a more moderate view “Regular supplementation with vitamin C (0.25 to 2 g/day) did not reduce the incidence of colds in the general population (23 trials); however, in participants undergoing heavy physical stress (e.g., marathon runners, skiers, or soldiers in subarctic conditions), vitamin C supplementation halved the incidence of colds (5 trials).
A benefit of regular vitamin C supplementation was also seen in the duration of colds, with a greater benefit in children than in adults: The pooled effect of vitamin C supplementation was a 14% reduction in cold duration in children and an 8% reduction in adults.”The Mayo Clinic view is consistent “Ta..
